Reconciliation Process

(For individuals, groups and organizations)

CDI Reconciliation process case study – PDF download

No matter your business or industry, interpersonal relationships play a key role in your work experience. Sometimes, circumstances beyond your control impact those relationships, leaving them strained or broken:
  • Difficult working relationships between colleagues, or between a leader and his or her team;
  • Dissatisfaction between an organization and its employees, shareholders, stakeholders or clients;
  • Tensions arising between two newly-merged organizations, etc.

How can you possibly restore confidence, cooperation and trust?

At CDI we believe that a reconciliation process can help. We work with official and unofficial “leaders” at all levels of an organization and provide you with the right approach, language and tools to engage in conversation with another person or group. Before reconciliation can take place we coach you to help you develop the skills and the confidence to enter into the process with an attitude and intent that demonstrate sincere willingness to reconcile with the other party/(ies). Some clients learn how to participate in Powerful Conversations before the event.

Depending upon your situation, we may participate in the reconciliation process – either as a silent observer or as an extra support person – to help you facilitate the process and guide the conversation in a way that respects both you and the other participant(s). Following the process, we schedule a debrief meeting with you (and your management team, if requested) to ensure that you have an opportunity to properly assimilate, integrate and make peace with the feedback provided.
